21st Annual AECDO Student Conference

March 26-27, 2021

Call for Papers

Dominican University College

(Ottawa, ON)

On Ethics and the Good Life

We invite graduate and undergraduate students in philosophy and in theology to submit abstracts for blind review by March 15. The theme this year - on ethics and the good life - encourages students to offer papers that forward, corroborate, or critique a particular conception of what it is to live well, come what may.

The conference is organised by AECDO, the student association of Dominican University College, under the auspices of the Dominican University College Foundation. In its 21st year, this is one of the longest running student conferences in Canada. Due to the public health measures in effect, this year it will proceed primarily online.

The purpose of this conference is to provide a forum for the presentation of work in both philosophy and in theology, in order to establish a multi-disciplinary dialogue, and a common ground for ethics. As such, we also welcome papers from related disciplines.

Please find some general guidelines for submission here. If you would like to attend, but not present a paper, please register here.
